The Villa – Casa Vida Nova

We purchased the villa in early 2015 from its original owners who had the villa constructed in 2008. It is situated on the popular Vale Da Tehla (VDT) development in the heart of the Costa Vicentina National Park. VDT has a small general store and a selection of bars and restaurants.

Casa Vida Nova's design is a classic modern Portuguese holiday villa with 3 bedrooms a family bathroom and on suite to the master bedroom although the proportions are a little larger than standard. The high vaulted ceilings help to keep the inside of the villa cool in summer when temperatures regularly reach above 30c degrees. The rear of the villa is south facing and is essentially in the sun for most of the day. The master bedroom has a King size bed.

Lounge

Flat screen TV with sound bar 2 x set top boxes, DVD player. The set top boxes provide UK channels and all Sky channels including Movies, Sports, MTV & Disney.

Hi Fi with radio, cassette & CD player. There is an iPod dock and player which has a number of playlists on it. There are a few CD’s in one of the sideboard draws. Radio reception is poor in VDT and we only receive a few stations.

High speed wireless internet is provided.

Kitchen

The kitchen contains all the usual appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. You can either bring your own capsules or use some of ours. Capsules cost 50 cents each and we ask guests to leave a contribution covering the cost of replacement capsules.

First Aid Box: There is a first aid box in the cupboard above the coffee maker.

Outside

There is a modern table and chairs seating six people for alfresco living. The overhang from the villa roof provides a very welcome shaded area to get out of the midday sun. A charcoal barbeque is provided which was new in 2016.

Pool

The pool is solar heated which extends the normal swimming months to most of the year. The pool lights provide a nice atmosphere when sitting outside in the evening. Pool maintenance is provided by a local team and during the summer a person will come round once or twice a week. Outside there is a shower which we ask guests to use prior to entering the pool as sun creams leave a film on the water and adversely effect the PH balance.

Towels

We provide towels for both the villa and the beach.
